The damp, shimmering, uniform sand summons me to dance. It appears untouched, though someone just stepped on it. A wave sweeps the footprints away. What remains is the memory of my feet touching the ground. Nothing is visible there now, although the innumerable traces left on this beach hint at the myriad stories that have unfolded here.
